What to expect in the first session:

In our first session, you’ll describe the symptoms and struggles that have led you to seek counseling treatment. We’ll also discuss your family history. During the assessment, I’m hoping to learn more about you and pinpoint a mental health diagnosis, if necessary.

What to expect in your teenager's session:

My goal is to establish a trusting relationship with your teenage child. In the first session, after the paperwork is complete, I’ll let the teenager decide whether the parent can stay in my office or wait in the lobby. Most sessions are between just your teenager and myself.

Every so often, I like to consult with the parents about their teenager’s progress in counseling. We’ll chat about how things are progressing for a few minutes after a session.

*If your child shares custody between parents, I will need a copy of the divorce decree that states which parent can make mental health decisions. This form is a necessary part of your child’s file.

How long does therapy take?

Each appointment lasts for 50 minutes.

The counseling process usually takes between 10-12 sessions. Some clients reach their goals sooner, and some clients take longer.

Something came up, can I reschedule my session?

Absolutely! Life happens, and sometimes you’ll need to reschedule your appointment. Please give me 24 hours notice if you cannot come to your scheduled appointment. A late cancellation or a no-show may result in a late cancellation fee.

All services take place in the Liberty Hill, Texas location.

Payment Information:

The rate per session is $140. Cash, check, and credit cards are accepted.

If you would like to be reimbursed by your insurance company, I will help you fill out the necessary forms. However, I do not accept payment from insurance companies. There are two reasons: first, I want to be as ethical and honest as possible about your mental health, and second, I value your privacy. Read more about using insurance for counseling here. Whether or not you decide to use your insurance coverage, I am happy to help you reach your goals and find fulfillment.
